Each student holds a learner, restricted or full license. You can choose from the following options and rates :
- Manual On-Road – This is always a good option to undertake. If you have only just begun to learn to drive and wish to pass your test, we would always suggest at least six (one hour) lessons for on-road driving. If we have the pleasure of teaching you a little more about off-road driving, we normally suggest combining an on-road hour lesson with an off-road hour lesson giving us two hours together to understand aspects of rural driving, lane position, and various terrains. Learning to understand how gears work, controlling a manual vehicle, and listening to an engine to know how to drive under various conditions in a manual will always stand you in good stead, even if you never drive a manual again you will never forget and it does help to understand what your automatic vehicle is doing and how to override the automatic version if you need to. You can choose to drive your own or your family’s manual or you can choose to come along in our manual Land Rovers, which have a great safety rating and also give you the option to try an off-road scenario if you wish.
$120 per 90-minute practical session on-road if you wish to use your own manual / $150 per 90-minute session on-road if you would like to learn in our vehicles which are fully insured, well maintained, and fully equipped with recovery and first aid.
- Automatic On-Road – Most cars are automatic in New Zealand so it would make sense to learn how to drive an automatic. You could choose to only learn in an automatic or you could combine your learning experience in both types of vehicle. You can also choose to drive in your own automatic or ask to take our models out. We will match you to the best vehicle to drive once we have a chat with you.
$120 per a 90-minute practical session on-road if you wish to use your own manual / $150 per 90-minute session on-road if you would like to learn in our vehicles which are fully insured, well maintained, and fully equipped with recovery and first aid.
- Off-Road Tuition – We have both manual and automatic vehicle options. However, we also have a lot of parents who are keen for their younger adults to learn some of the off-road skills in their own vehicles. Parents even sometimes come along for a morning or afternoon of fun. If we have the pleasure of teaching you a little more about off-road driving, we normally suggest combining an on-road hour lesson with an off-road hour lesson giving us two hours together to understand aspects of rural driving, lane position, and various off-road terrains. Learning to understand how gears work, controlling a manual vehicle, and listening to an engine to know how to drive under various conditions in a manual will always stand you in good stead in an off-road environment as you need to often make snap decisions to alter the way the vehicle is responding to the various terrains you encounter. You can choose to drive your own or your family’s manual or you can choose to come along in our manual Land Rovers, which have a great safety rating and also give you the option to try an off-road scenario if you wish.
