If you can practice your parallel parking as well as “3 point” turns to apply the techniques such as lack of dry steering, lining up your vehicle in a parallel park, 90-degree angle, aligning yourself nicely with the kerb, mirror, and over shoulder checks that would be awesome!
Please keep completing the drive quizzes online so we can keep discussing road signs etc.

Feedback for lesson 1
Tom, you really impressed me with your courteous driving. You have a good peripheral vision and grasp of what the hazards are. I like your cautious approach to traffic approaching you. Well done.
Some food for thought for next week’s lesson…
Please practice checking carefully what a vehicle is doing approaching from your right on a roundabout or at a junction. You tend to give a cursory glance, but it would be safer for you to take time to see if they intend to cross into your path by learning to look more at the vehicle despite indication, does the wheel look like the vehicle will turn despite the indication? Just take a little more time.
I would also like you to practice this week, marrying up your mirror and over-the-shoulder checks. Remember every time your turn into a road or leave a road, check over the relevant shoulder in case a cyclist or vehicle or indeed a pedestrian has crept alongside you. Every time you look into your wing mirrors also practice an over-the-shoulder check for good habits moving forward.
I recommend you practice in your automatic and leave the manual driving until we move into this area to give you a chance of perfecting your scanning and driving skills.
Really looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday.
Sharon
