We look forward to assisting you in your driving journey
Lesson 2
Great lesson today. You are really settling into what is required as you prepare to be test ready. Fantastic motorway driving. Good lane position although think about when you head check, steer straight and think about a very good central position within your lane. I think you have opicked up well the rules around off roamps, on ramps, complex exit roundabouts and entry roundabouts. The looking right as you come up to the giveway on the roundabout and selecting a good gap position and comitting to getting across the busy intersection before going back to the cautious approach was great. It meant your gap selection was safe whilst not inconveniencing other road users. Just think on around when is the right time to leave the roundabout, indicating as you begin to pass the last exit you are not taking, then moving with the headcheck so that others can see clearly you are wising to exit. Hopefully see you again soon for some more learnings.
Lesson 1
Great first lesson Liam. You tend to smile when you are nervious so I think your testing officer will be lucky to have such a great smile and hopefully you won’t be nervous. You carried out some confident driving, although now you are begining to learn the finer technique when it comes to being not a good driver but a great driver. Head checks are super important so think always about the hidden cyclist. Think of what we did around mirrors, signal your intention, headcheck and then move only when sure. I was really improessed with your parallel parking and three point turns. It is important to practice these as we donlt want to use your driving lessons to keep going over the same ground so get plenty of practice. We also carried out some rural driving technique which I hope made sense about hugging your corners and going out wide as you exit your bend. See you on the next lesson.
This is a record of your progress and must be kept by us on your behalf for 12 months and when added to your lesson plans forms the overall training plan.

Developing a training plan with you is where we begin once you have your theory learner test behind you.
Your training plan will be a structured and logical sequence of progressive lesson plans with the provision for the review of your progress as we go.
Each lesson plan will have its own TRAINING OBJECTIVE which will outline what you will achieve as a result of the session along with the STANDARD to which you need to perform the task and the conditions under which the performance will be assessed along with the RESOURCES that will need to be supplied.
How we deliver our knowledge to you is through three main methods
Controlled Practice – This is where your tutor will carry out the manoeuvre with a full verbal description as we go a couple of times so you have a chance to observe and feel comfortable trying it yourself.
Prompted Practice – Once you are comfortable, you can then try the manoeuvre whilst your tutor prompts you with a word here and there as a reminder as you concentrate on carrying out your manoeuvre
Transferred Responsibility – Yay – this is the bit you get to do it yourself and practice.
