Make sure you are aware of the expiry of your vehicle WOF and Rego stickers and can clearly communicate the same to your testing officer as they are looking for clear verbal communication. Remember the correct position of the stickers on your vehicle. You have a great understanding of what is under the bonnet when it comes to oil, brake fluid and washer wiper fluid location. Remember it is important to fully go around your vehicle and check tires, any vehicle damage, lights are working and clearly demonstrate to your testing officer you know what to do. Internal pre-drive checks were good with you knowing your vehicle controls and having confidence where your hazard indicators are, indicators and washer stem is located.
Moving off in your vehicle is ok but you do need to practice a lighter foot technique as this will give you time to assess the road ahead in case you need to slow down. You managed to really master this as we neared the end of the lesson. You are a courteous driver and that will stand you in good stead.
Please ensure before we meet on our next lesson you practice your 3 point turn & remember to use your mirror and over-the-shoulder checks at all points of the turn, refrain from dry steering and use the maneuver to get into the correct position to reverse the direction you wish to travel away in. If you could also practice parallel parking that would be appreciated as we will cover these two maneuvers quickly in your next lesson to ensure you can carry them out fault-free.
Good Signal use, Moving off (straight) was well done although speed can be a factor as going too quickly, Stopping needs to be a little more gradual than heavy braking. Directional control was good, Moving off (at an angle) remember to check over your right-hand shoulder every time a few seconds before driving off. Head checks need to be worked on and good mirror use, Open Road Driving was good with good observation speed signs, 3 Point turns please practice. Roundabouts were good. Speed control is good on an open road.

Developing a training plan with you is where we begin once you have your theory learner test behind you.
Your training plan will be a structured and logical sequence of progressive lesson plans with the provision for the review of your progress as we go.
Each lesson plan will have its own TRAINING OBJECTIVE which will outline what you will achieve as a result of the session along with the STANDARD to which you need to perform the task and the conditions under which the performance will be assessed along with the RESOURCES that will need to be supplied.
How we deliver our knowledge to you is through three main methods
Controlled Practice – This is where your tutor will carry out the manoeuvre with a full verbal description as we go a couple of times so you have a chance to observe and feel comfortable trying it yourself.
Prompted Practice – Once you are comfortable, you can then try the manoeuvre whilst your tutor prompts you with a word here and there as a reminder as you concentrate on carrying out your manoeuvre
Transferred Responsibility – Yay – this is the bit you get to do it yourself and practice.
Hi Braedon, I’m Sharon, and here is a little more about me.
I love taking road trips and can’t think of anything better than heading off-road in a Land Rover or Range Rover which I am nutty about. I’m easy to get along with and patient due to being a mum of three ( two of my boys are your age ) and so it will be my pleasure to get you to the point where you feel confident in your driving ability and preparing for your restricted test.
Please always feel free to be open with me about how we communicate. I am here to help you and I want you to enjoy your experience whilst at the same time understanding, I have some things to show you you won’t know just yet.
You can save my cell number (021) 029 28023 and you are welcome to use text, What’s App. Instagram, Facebook or pick up the phone and call me if you have any questions.
Here is my NZQA Record of Learning.
